Hi my name is Carol Maddox and I am a quiltaholic.

I am a quilting instructor in Tacoma Washington. I have been quilting since 1989 and have been teaching since the early 90‘s. I started teaching for the evening community school program here in Tacoma. Then thanks to my twin sister, I advanced to Joann’s, then to some of our local quilt shops. I presently teach at Evergreen Quilting and two senior centers in Tacoma.

I love to teach quilting. People ask me all the time to make me a quilt and I tell them that I would rather show them how. The reason being if I make you a quilt you get one quilt. If I show you how then you can make as many as you and your family want. My favorite class is beginning quilting because I have the opportunity to teach people the correct way (my way) to use their tools and sew the fabric together to make a quilt they can be truly proud of.

The original reason for having this website was to try and sell some of my many many class samples so that I can make more samples to teach more classes (look under quilts for sale). Well that reason still exists and I have a new one. I now have my own pattern line. It is very cool. There are lots of unique patterns. I like trying new techniques so there is a wide range.
